   No, I'd love world peace, but doubt it is possible.  So to be truthful, I would like our monthly income to go back to what it was before my husband went off work on disability.  I don't want to be rich, just want to be comfortable.

   First, I would ask for more wishes........
   
   Then I would ask that the world turned on wishes..........
   
   I would ask..............to have my children be children again,  looking to me for protection, for security, for direction, rather than to the large, large world of influences around them...........yes, to have my children be young again..........just for one more year, month or day.............just to have my children need me..........for I taught them independance far too well.
   
   As much as I enjoy my solitude, I would so much like to again hear their childish voices crying out,........."Mama".

    I had a really awesome an answer until I read ongoodwoman's answer "First, I would ask for  more wishes......." That answers your question and is a smart one. However, next I  would use one wish to ask for time in comfort to think about the next one.

    As difficult as it is to answer, of course I can pick anything for myself, whether it would be the best or the worst choice, I would return that wish to the all-powerful Jinn to give it to the person who needs it most.
    
    Is there only one such person?  It's up to him to figure out what to do in the world with all that power ...  But he is not his own master ...

    Wow, I think some of these answers are really great! especially onegoodwoman's answer which is really touching and genuine. There is something that I have noticed while reading the answers to this question and that is the following: It is in the nature of man to always want more- how do we see this?
    
    You ask a bunch of people what they would wish for if they could make one wish and what do allot of them say? Not eternal health, not extreme wisdom, not for eternal happiness, or anything like that. No people wish for the ability to make more wishes. As if one isn't enough. People are never satisfied.... As for me, I would wish for happiness until the day I die and with that wish, I cover all other wishes, because happiness in life is every persons main goal.

       But if you are happy and get very ill then you can be happily miserable and even die. Happiness without health, the good life, is in geopardy or even impossible.

    Hmm, ok, this may sound a bit out there, but that is just me.
    
    I would wish for the ability to grant all my own wishes.  There fore I could create anything I want. I would always be happy. I could help others and grant wishes for them.  I would help to make this world a better place, but I would not do everything even if I could.
    
    I would travel the universe etc Iwould have eternal live and a spiritual body capable of anything.

    More wishes or being able to grant your own wishes is too easy. My wish has the same result as being able to grant wishes or to have more wishes but it will make for a much more interesting life than getting everything you want instantly.
    Such a simple wish but it would allow me to do anything I want and I have a to do list a mile long. I would wish to know the answer to ANY question I could think of or be asked. I wouldn't want to know everything because that never ends well, I don't want to change my personality, but I would want access to everything so the solution is to know the answer to any question, lottery numbers, stock prices, access to all information  when I need it without the burden of having all the info stuffed into my brain.  I would start with simple things to generate some funding for my business to start a serious technical revolution. I would start by making some fast money in foreign exchange which would be used to open a trading room to have many people making themselves rich while generating money for my other businesses that would all make Apple and Google look like Radio Shack. No, it's not about money(at least not after the first couple million $) my goal is to solve the world's problems, cancer, diabetes, aids, alzheimers , the common cold and other diseases GONE, lost or diseased body parts regrown or regenerated, aging reversed or stopped, health maintenance nanites(eat whatever you want and the nanites insure you maintain perfect health and weight). Serious space travel, I'm talking intergalactic space travel, ten million light years in a week, the edge of the known universe in less than 5 years or even instantly if possible, a limitless clean personal power source, and of course transporters(good bye transportation industry), replicators(wish granting machine), hollodecks(fantasy vacations), planetary defense system to stop large meteors and comets, weather control network( to prevent droughts and disastrous storms) rooms that are bigger on the inside(if possible) a self sustaining transportable phone booth sized mansion for everyone. The possibilities are only limited by what is possible and how fast we could advance the technology needed to accomplish our dreams. I would probably build a paradox proof time machine(Observe only, blocks physical interaction with past events and doesn't go into the future past the starting date of the trip) for historical research and clarification only no Back to the Future situations possible.

    I just want to do God's Will. I've felt that way for many years, and it does not matter in whichever way the question is shaped or formed. The answer is always the same. In my world, without the one Absolute, everything else is useless, meaningless and utterly false. Likewise, with the Absolute, all is of supreme beauty. The God-seeker says:
    
    "O God, I remember You, because You remembered me first."
    
    "O God, if You want me to be happy, great! If You want someone else to be happy in my place, then this is great too. I simply want to be an instrument of Your Will supreme. Use me according to Thy Will and Consciousness"
    
    That is my only wish and prayer, to live in harmony with the Will of the Supreme. Deep and profound but necessary or essential question. In Love and Light.

    I had an out of body experience in Easter of 1993. I have been told too many times that the revelation I received could not be from God, and that it could be the devil I saw. What I saw took place over 23 years ago, which is quite a long time.  (maybe I was told to keep this vision to myself, until manifested in real life.) However, my one wish is to be provided with proof (within a week) that it was the true God I saw, because at this time I badly need a car. If I get confirmation that it was God I saw, all else will take care of itself.
    
    At the end of this experience I was given the book of Galatians, and I am going to quote Galatians 4 vs. 30, "But what does the Scripture say "Get rid of the slave woman and her son, for the slave woman's son will never share in the inheritance with the free woman's son." (NIV).
    
    My one wish is to obtain proof from the Liberians.

    I would wish that hence forward whatever i wish for more than 8 times continuously in a row is fulfilled. As many times we wish for something instantly once or twice but would soon realize that we were better without it so for precaution wishing 8 times in a row would be great....

    My only wish would be that no children had to suffer in anyway. It's not right that so many suffer because of thier parents and harmed by the sickos in the world. We would have a very different world if we really could find a full-proof way to protect the children.

    First thing first, I would wish for 5 more wishes, as follows:
    1. People to use proper grammar (I have a strange thing about that)
    2. That animals go to heaven (if they don't already)
    3. I could publish a novel
    4. Kids would have an equal voice in government (but that would lead to lots of orders of, "make more lollipops for me" and stuff)
    AND
    5. That I could, for once, stop being annoying...
